Polarizing Filter

polarizing-filter
That’s it, exactly: a filter. Is placed at the end of target (intermediate between the scene we’re going to shoot and the objective lens), and serves primarily for 2 things:
* To reduce the reflections of certain metal surfaces, glass or water.
* Enhances the color of the sky in contrast with white clouds.

Polarizing Filter: types, brands and qualities

There are two types of polarizing filters: the circular and square (also called linear). The most widespread, practical and easy to find are the circular filters, which I recommend. Attach to the target by a thread and do not interfere at all. Even when we’re in AF mode filter follows the movement of the charge of the auto focus lens.
Shelves have the disadvantage that often move (“fall?) with the movement of AF.

About all the brands and quality, you will notice the wide range of prices;) Although we must not leave until one of 150 euros. One brand polarizing filter 52mm in diameter could cost you about 20 euros on average.
Ah, very important. See what diameter is your goal before you go to buy one of these filters. Otherwise it could become too big / small the target.

So you know, if you want to take outdoor photography seriously (even as a hobby), I can still not missing a good polarizing filter.

PS: There are other types of filters like neutral density, guards, or color. One of these days we’ll talk more extensively with all types of filters out there.
