That’s it, exactly: a filter. Is placed at the end of target (intermediate between the scene we’re going to shoot and the objective lens), and serves primarily for 2 things:
* To reduce the reflections of certain metal surfaces, glass or water.
* Enhances the color of the sky in contrast with white clouds.
